The Era of “Influencers”.. عصر " المؤثرين"

We live in the era of “The Influencers" or let me put it in its correct form: The era of “The Influenced”.
Social media boom is a catalyst to creating a world of copies, a world of look-alike, a world of wannabe. Why do we allow that?
I believe that each one of us is created with his and her own set of “gifts and talents” that need discovery, training, hard work, and dedication to put into practice for us to enrich this world with this God-given gift.

If King Saul (شاول) had an Instagram account, I am sure he would have the highest followers in his days. Everyone would want to be him, wear what he wears, eat same dishes, fight with the same sword!

Except one: David the Shepherd!
On his big day of fight against Goliath, Saul clothed David with clothing and armed him with his armour. What a Pride for an “influenced” to be wearing the armour of “the influencer”…a moment 1000s would pay anything to have! but here goes David, taking off all that and telling Saul: “This is not me…I am not created to be Saul…I am David and God equipped me with what it takes to face this Goliath (this world)” and on he went with his walking stick, his sling, and five smooth stones! and of course, we know…He won the Battle! (read 1 Samuel 17: 38-40)

Today I say…Pray!
Pray for enlightenment to see the gifts God bestowed upon you and made you accountable for. Do not take this lightly, I know the story of a man who was given gold and decided to bury it in fear of his master’s wrath…but his master wished he would have used them for the good cause!
You have what it takes to face your own circumstances and your own Goliath…
You are the Sons and Daughters of the Almighty…
You are Influencers of this world…
You are Bearers of Light…

Be yourself No Matter what they say…He created you in perfect harmony for great deeds to accomplish!

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10

نحن نعيش في عصر المؤثرين، أو ربما من الأفضل أن نسميه عصر " المتأثرين".
طفرة وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي يمكن اعتبارها حافز في خلق عالم من " النسخ"، عالم يشبه فيه الجميع بعضهم بعضاً، عالم من المعجبين.
فلماذا نسمح بذلك؟
أنا أؤمن أن كل واحد منا مخلوق بمجموعته الخاصة من "الهبات والمَلَكات " التي تستلزم الاكتشاف والتدريب والعمل الجاد والتفاني لكي تُقَدَم إلى العالم فتغنيه وتثريه بهبات الله.

فلو كان للملك شاول حساب على Instagram ، فأنا متأكد إنه سيكون له أكبر عدد من المتابعين في أيامه.
الكل سيتمنى أن يشبهه، يرتدون ما يرتديه ويأكلون نفس الأصناف التي يأكلها، ويحاربون بسيف كسيفه

ماعدا رجل واحد: داود الراعي
في اليوم الكبير حيث مبارزته مع جليات، ألبسه شاول ثياب الحرب وحصنه بدروع خاصة.
فخر عظيم أن يرتدي an “influenced” ثوب “the influencer” بلغة الاعلام.
وهي لحظة يسعى اليها الالاف ليحصلوا عليها
ولكن داود يخلع عنه كل هذه ويخبر شاول" هذا ليس أنا.. أنا لم أخلق لأكون شاول.. أنا داود وقد أعدني الله بما أحتاجه لمواجهة جليات( لمواجهة العالم) ومضى ومعه عصاه ومقلاعه وخمس حجرات ناعمة
ونحن بالطبع نعلم أنه قد انتصر في المعركة
١صم ١٧: ٣٨ - ٤٠.
واليوم ..أدعوك أن تصلي
تصلي من أجل استنارة لترى هبات الله التي أنعم بها عليك، وجعلك مسؤول عنها.
فلا تستهن بها، فقد كان رجل ذات يوم وقد أعطي ذهب فقام ودفنه خوفاً من غضب سيده.. ولكن سيده تمنى لو كان قد أحسن استخدام الأمانة في أعمال صالحة!
وأنت .. فقد منحك الله ما تواجه به ظروفك الخاصة وجليات الخاص بك..
أنتم .. أبناء وبنات الله القدير..
أنتم .. مؤثرون influencers على العالم من حولكم
أنتم .. تحملون النور
لذلك .. كن نفسك مهما يقول الآخرون،
فقد خلقت بتناسق كامل لإتمام أعمال عظيمة!

“لِأَنَّنَا نَحْنُ عَمَلُهُ، مَخْلُوقِينَ فِي ٱلْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ لِأَعْمَالٍ صَالِحَةٍ، قَدْ سَبَقَ ٱللهُ فَأَعَدَّهَا لِكَيْ نَسْلُكَ فِيهَا.”

Are you Thirsty?

On a hot August day in Cairo, at home with my daughters...
Me: Leila, Can you please make sure you drink enough water. It is almost 45 degrees! staying hydrated is VERY important.
Leila: Thanks Pa, but I don't feel thirsty nor want to drink water now..
Me: You have to..It is extremely hot here...you sweat, lose water and need to replenish all that!
Leila: It is not hot at all around here..In fact I even feel cold!

She was right, we were having this conversation standing in a freezing air-conditioned room set at 17 degrees!! Who would think about water when you are feeling cold? But if I went out on the streets, with a cold bottle of water..I m sure any of these workers spending their days in the sun would fight for it. When you are hot, sweating and thirsty, you cant help but think of WATER...and only water!

I then realized that Thirst is primarily driven by "the need to get more of what you give away"! If you feel hot, your body sweats heavily to cool you down and then you do feel dehydrated and thirst starts hunting you. If you do not face the heat, your body will feel comfortable...water is retained...no need for water! The thirstier you are, the more you will seek water...and the more satisfying it will be! You probably think of this "Aaahh" you instinctively say after your first Sip!

Thirst, a word spread all over the bible, from old to new testament...from thirsty people crossing the desert to a Samaritan lady seeking water on a hot midday.
I specially love the verses in Psalms 63:1
“O God, You are my God; with deepest longing I will seek You; My soul [my life, my very self] thirsts for You, my flesh longs and sighs for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water.”
and in Psalm 42: 1-2
“As the deer pants [longingly] for the water brooks, So my soul pants [longingly] for You, O God. My soul (my life, my inner self) thirsts for God, for the living God. When will I come and see the face of God?”

David wanted more of God...as He was giving more of God! The more God centered his life was, the more he desired him. He knew that Dry places pushed him to seek God to encourage him and his companions. HIs thirst drove him to write, through the Holy Spirit, one of the most beautiful poetic pieces in the love of God: The Psalms!

Now, it is our turn to examine our lives. Do we need to get more of what we give away? DO we seek God and feel Thirsty for His presence in our days? Or we just feel that this is not our duty... eventually never feeling the thirst? Are we too comfortable in our air-conditioned spiritual status?

Let me quote Jon Bloom from his article about Spiritual Thirst:"But David didn’t always feel this way. When he was at the height of his success, when he was wealthy, sated, and secure in his reign, his soul lost its desperate thirst for God. And what happened? Bathsheba became an enticing and intoxicating soul-beverage. He did something in his prosperity he never would have done while wandering the weary, waterless wilderness: he drank from the broken cistern of sexual immorality."

I want this Thirst...Thirst for the Source of Living Water!
God, Make me Thirsty again!

دايرة الراحة ج٢

اتكلمنا قبل كدة عن النمو وعلاقته بالحياة ودايرة الراحة.
طيب وفين يعني ربنا طلب مننا اننا نخرج من دايرة الراحة...الرسل والتلاميذ والناس القديسين دول كانت حياتهم كدة وعاشوا حياة القداسة من الاول
لا صدقني...التبعية كانت ومازلت محتاجة طاعة ورغبة في التغيير والنمو والعمل معه حتى لو اللي جاي كان مجهول وتعالى نشوف شوية امثلة
في العهد القديم الله طلب من ابراهيم حاجة غريبة جداً قاله

“وقالَ الرَّبُّ لأبرامَ: «اذهَبْ مِنْ أرضِكَ ومِنْ عَشيرَتِكَ ومِنْ بَيتِ أبيكَ إلَى الأرضِ الّتي أُريكَ.
فذَهَبَ أبرامُ كما قالَ لهُ الرَّبُّ وذَهَبَ معهُ لوطٌ. وكانَ أبرامُ ابنَ خَمسٍ وسَبعينَ سنَةً لَمّا خرجَ مِنْ حارانَ.” التَّكوينُ‬ ١٢

ابرام خمس وسبعين سنة من غير طرق وعربيات وطيارات ولا جي بي اس ولا تكييف عشان كدة بولس الرسول في عبرانيين ١١ "سفر ابطال الايمان" اتكلم عن ايمان ورجاء وطاعة ابراهيم لما دعي للخروج من دايرة الراحة اللي كان فيها
“بالإيمانِ إبراهيمُ لَمّا دُعيَ أطاعَ أنْ يَخرُجَ إلَى المَكانِ الّذي كانَ عَتيدًا أنْ يأخُذَهُ ميراثًا، فخرجَ وهو لا يَعلَمُ إلَى أين يأتي.
لأنَّهُ كانَ يَنتَظِرُ المدينةَ الّتي لها الأساساتُ، الّتي صانِعُها وبارِئُها اللهُ.”

وفي عهد النعمة مع المسيح، التلاميذ كمان ادونا اروع مثل للطاعة والترك والرغبة في التغيير والعمل مع الله في الحقل لما تركوا اعمالهم، شباكهم، مراكبهم وحياتهم عشان يتبعوا اللي قالهم اتبعني
يا ترى لسة بتتسأل لو مطلوب مني و منك اننا كمان نخرج برة دايرة راحتنا عشان نتواصل مع عالم عطشان للنور والملح؟

انا عاوز فرصة تانية

من أسعد لحظات اي انسان سواء كان طفل او كبير هي لحظات اللي بنقضيها في الملاهي وبالأخص للي بيحبوا الالعاب و التحديات. في العاب كدة الواحد بيكون حاسس ان عمر ما حد كسب فيها زي رمي الطوق في الازازة او اهد هرم الكانز بالكورة من بعيد

في مرة وقفت قدام لعبة (الطوق في الازازة) ولقيت الناس كلها ماشية بابتسامة ورضا رغم ان ما حدش منهم ماسك دبدوب او هدية كسبها...تساءلت !وراقبت وعرفت السبب

لقيت الشخص اللي مسؤول عن اللعبة بعد ما الناس تخلص محاولاتهم التلاتة بيديهم من عنده فرصتين تانيين ببلاش "حركة جدعنة"! فالناس في الاخر بتمشي مبسوطة وراضية مش عشان كسبت لكن ،عشان اخدت فرصة تانية ببلاش وحاولت وعملت اللي عليها

مع إلهنا، هي مش مجرد فرصة تانية...هي فرص تانية كتير حيكون هو على قلبه انك وانك تكسبي...دة ارسل الينا الروح المساعد... يعني لو عليه يمد الازازة عشان الطوق يوصل فيها بس المهم احنا نكون عاوزين نستغل الفرصة التانية وما نيأسش

الكتاب مليان امثلة عن ناس زي وزيك ممكن يكونوا وقعوا وبعدوا لكن الله في محبته فضل يلاحقهم بالفرصة التانية
زي بطرس بعد الانكار ويونان هرب من خدمته وكان رافض يبشر اهل نينوى وداوود بعد سقوطه في ضعفه وقديسين كتير عاشوا على مدار العصور اكيد ممكن يكون حوالينا ناس انت تعرفهم اتغيروا واستغلوا الفرصة صح!
هل انت وانت وانا حنستغل بجد الفرصة التانية؟
